Reeses Krispie Treats – To DIE for!

The title should say it all. Today I made a batch of Reese’s Krispie Treats that is one of my all time favorite recipes. If you love Reese’s, these no bake cookies are like crack. You CANNOT stop eating them!

(Original recipe came from: http://www.ohsweetbasil.com)

Reese Krispie Treats

1 cup Sugar
1 cup Corn Syrup
1 1/3 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
4 1/4 cup Rice Krispes
1 Pinch of Salt
4 Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, chopped
1 Handful Chocolate Chips

Over medium heat, melt the sugar, corn syrup, & peanut butter until smooth. Remove from heat and add in the salt & rice krispie cereal. Mix thoroughly. Stir in the chocolate chips. Wait a minute or so and add in the chopped Reeses. Drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper and allow to harden. Enjoy!

Don't forget to chop ahead of time, otherwise you'll be scrambling trying to get it done before your mix hardens(speaking from experience)

Nicely melted

Chocolate chips added

Ready for the chopped Reeses

Fold Reeses in carefully to avoid crushing

Ready to eat! I always just spread no bake cookies out on the counter where i have laid down wax paper sinceI have a shortage of cookie sheets.

I guarantee you that you cant eat just one!

Oh, I had a question. How many cookies do you usually get per batch?

Depends how big you make them. When i made them yesterday, I made them bite size and got approximately 80. When I made them full size like I did when you guys came over around new years I only got about 30

We made these tonight for me to take to church for tomorrow night’s supper, and they were delicious! I used a cookie scoop to try to make them as umiform as possible since I was taking them someplace.
